Je uvedena kazuistika 20leté nemocné s diagnózou schizoafektivní poruchy, depresivní typ, F 25.1 podle MKN-10. Choroba měla na počátku velmi výrazný a těžký psychopatologický obraz, po němž následovaly v krátké době dvě psychiatrické hospitalizace za sebou. Po dvouleté terapii olanzapinem v kombinaci s fluoxetinem je pacientka ve velmi kvalitní remisi a dokonce dosáhla pracovního postupu s vyšším výdělkem.
