Obezita a antipsychotika - jsme opravdu bezmocní?

V poslední době neustále roste zájem o problematiku obezity a nadváhy v souvislosti s léčbou antipsychotiky. V odborné literatuře se objevuje celá řada studií a přehledných článků, které se zabývají možnými strategiemi, jak zamezit nežádoucímu zvýšení hmotnosti či jak snížit váhu již obézních pacientů. Tato skutečnost mne vedla k pokusu shrnout možnosti, jaké máme v situacích, kdy nežádoucí zvýšení hmotnosti hrozí či již nastalo. V žádném případě nejde o vyčerpávající informace či univerzální návod, ale domnívám se, že souhrnných informací není nikdy dost a málokdo z nás má možnost sledovat veškeré odborné informace, které současná psychiatrická literatura a internet poskytují.
