Autoři předkládají současný pohled na problematiku a léčbu premenstruálního syndromu a premenstruální dysforické poruchy z pohledu psychiatrického. Respektují, že tyto poruchy jsou i tématem gynekologické péče. Podávají přehled současné literatury o využití antidepresiv v této indikaci. Poukazují na to, že podání antidepresiv by mělo předcházet léčbě hormonální.

Premenstrual Dysforic Disorder

Authors present a survey of premenstrual dysphoric disorder and premenstrual syndrom from psychiatric point of view. There is given a survey of today-s psychiatric literature from this branch. Especially is discussed a role of SSRI antidepressants. Authors agree that the disorder is also a question for gynaecologist, but they would like to emphasize that antidepressants administration could be the first step in a therapy of serious forms of premenstrual syndroms.
